Grounded in Solidarity

I'm Taouba Yacoubi. My work and interests revolve around Islamic spirituality and psychology, which have guided my personal and academic journey. I studied Islamic spirituality at Marmara University in Istanbul, and I hold a Master's in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London.

I have extensive experience working with various communities in Istanbul, London, and Morocco. I have led mindfulness and breathing spaces in student encampments.

Poetry has been one of my main mediums of self-expression, and I have been co-hosting a poetry space in London called "London Blues Collective."

Amid these challenging times in Gaza, Lebanon, and many other brother nations, many of us feel detached or isolated.

This workshop is designed to help us connect over our shared human suffering by offering bodily and somatic exercises to help us become more grounded and present in our bodies.
