ARABIC CALLIGRAPHY COURSE AT RUMI'S CAVE

Our unique Calligraphy workshops with master Moustafa Hassan are now on every last Sunday of the month. These classes go beyond mere technical knowledge, providing a holistic exploration of the art, including it's history and spiritual tradition.
Each workshop is a one-day intensive course from 11am-5pm providing a comprehensive range of knowledge and practical experience.
The Arabic script styles; Naskh, Thuluth and Diwani will be taught on rotation as part of a seasonal series.
Each session will introduce the fundamentals of the art with a brief overview of all the major scripts and styles.
Students are provided with all the necessary equipment and materials consisting of: hand made reed pen, writing ink, special paper, custom exercise sheets and an information pack.
The workshop welcomes students of all abilities, from complete beginner to those with previous experience, allowing them to benefit from the valuable expertise of our master calligrapher Moustafa Hassan.
Due to the informal setting at Rumi's Cave we can also allow for students who want to receive specific or special guidance on a script of their choice. The workshop is also ideal as a refresher day course for students with prior experience, just ask for advanced practice sheets when booking your place.
